Before you start: We recommend styling your hair like it would be under a wig, so it can lay flat.(Best results are to either braid straight back in flat cornrows, braid in a flat beehive, or wrap it flat back.)

Get the hair as flat and as tight as possible before taking the measurements. This will eliminate bulges that distort head contours.

IMPORTANT: Make sure that your measurements are ACCURATE.
If you do not measure properly, your wig may not fit. So take your measurements at least 2-3 times to be sure.
Use a soft measure tape to measure. We take measurements in whole and half inches. So please round your measurements up not down. Example: 12 3/4 should be rounded up to 13 and 12 1/4 should be rounded up to 12 1/2.

Special Note:
If you are bald or do not have a hair line - you do not need to add the inch - simply put the tape measure where you would like your hairline to begin with the wig.

The averages below are just to give you an example. Not everyone will meet these measurements - some ma be under or over and that is perfectly fine.

1. The Circumference of the Head:

1

Measure all around the head. Position tape measure so its edge follows the hair line around the head and nape of the neck. (Example Measurement:22 inches).
This measures the distance around your head. Starting at the center of the front
hairline, place the tape flat against your head, going just above the ear towards the back of the
head, keeping the tape at the nape of your neck and go around to the opposite side of your
head, just above the opposite ear and returning to the center of the front hairline.

2. From Forehead to Nape of Neck:

1

Measure from hairline at center of forehead straight back over crown to center of hairline at nape of neck. Note: Place the tape measure at your hairline in the front of forehead while taking the measure to the hairline at the back of your Nape (neck). Keeping in mind that your cap is glued to the outside perimeter of your natural hairline on your skin. (ExampleMeasurement:14 inches). Then ADD 1 inch to the measurement results. This is VERY IMPORTANT. If you do not add the inch, your wig will be too small and will not be able to be glued in front of your hairline.
This measures the length of your head from the front to the nape of your neck.
To determine where the nape of your neck is, tilt your head back and look up. Where your neck
bends and may even develop a skin fold, is where your nape is. You want the bottom of the wig
to sit right above this area so that when you do tilt your head back that far, your wig will not
shift on your head. This area is often right at the occipital bone, but be sure to take the
measurement with your neck bent down so that you are looking at your shoes. Starting at the
front hairline, measure directly across the middle top of your head to the area that you have
determined is your nape.

3. Ear to Ear Across Front Hairline:

1

At front of ear, measure from hairline at base of sideburn, up across the hair line along forehead to same point in front of other ear. (ExampleMeasurement: 12 inches).
This measures your temple to temple length for tape tab
placement. Place tape at your temple, just in front of your ear, bring tape up towards the top of
the head and go 1.5 inch behind the front hairline, down to the opposite temple in front of the
opposite ear.

4. From Ear to Ear Over Top of Head:

1

Measure from hairline directly above the ear across top of head to the hairline directly above the other ear. (ExampleMeasurement: 13 inches).
This measures your head for the top of the wig base. Place tape
against your head at the top edge of your ear and go directly across the top of your head to the
top edge of the opposite ear.

5. Point to Point:

1

From temple to temple across the back of head. (ExampleMeasurement:14 inches). Note: Place the tape measure at your temple to temple point on each side of your head as shown in the picture. Keeping in mind that your cap is glued to the outside perimeter of your natural hairline in this area as well. Then ADD 1 inch to the measurement results. This is VERY IMPORTANT. If you do not add the inch, your wig will be too small and will not be able to be glued in front of your hairline. Place tape against your head at the front edge of
the hairline (sideburn area) in front of the ear, go around the head above the occipital bone to
the opposite front edge of the hairline.

6. Nape of Neck:

1

Measure the width of hairline across the nape of the neck. (Example Measurement:5 1/2 inches.)
Place tape against your head, at the front edge of your hairline (sideburn area),in front of the ear, go around the head above the occipital bone to the opposite front edge of the hairline.
