Preparing your Full Lace Wig for Application:

a)- Clip all hair and baby hair away from the edge of the wig. This will prevent the hair from getting stuck in the bonding adhesive(s) when applying your full lace wig.

b)- Cautiously cut the lace around the entire hairline of the full lace wig. You may cut all the lace off or for beginners, you can leave a little of the lace (1/2"), if you think it will be easier to attach to your chosen bonding system (glue and/or tape)
(TIP): When you have completed cutting the lace around the entire perimeter of your full lace wig, you can spray “Fray Block” on the edge of the lace to prevent it from fraying. (Please be sure to use this sparingly, because it can try white if you use too much.)

Preparing Skin and Hair for Application:

a)- Wash, condition and dry your own hair. After completely dried, braid hair in small cornrows, or tightly wrap your it on the top of your head for a flat look.

b)-  Use alcohol 99% on a cotton pad and rub around your entire hairline, to remove any oil that may be on your skin.

(TIP): Apply scalp protector to protect skin from adhesives. This will make a healthy  barrier between your skin and the adhesive. (This step is very important for those who workout, swim or those with sensitive skin.)

(TIP): To protect your  hair, put on a flesh-toned wig cap, and line it up with your hairline, so that, your own hair is completely covered. This will make a protective layer for your own hair, and will also create a scalp illusion. Make sure the wig cap is pulled closed to your hairline. To prevent the wig cap from slipping, allow the glue and/or tape to overlap onto the nylon stocking cap or loosely stitch the cap in place.

Application using Liquid Adhesives

a)- Apply with a small flat wooden cosmetic stick or a small make-up brush and a thin coat of the liquid adhesive (glue) around all the perimeter of your hairline.
Apply  in several  thin layers, and always wait for prior layer to dry, before adding another coat of liquid adhesive.
Soft bond adhesives (I.e.: Vapon No-Tape, Ultra-Hold and Invisi-bond) must dry or get tacky . To help with the drying time, use a hand held blow-dryer, set on cool/warm setting until dry or tacky.
(TIP): Do NOT bond your full lace wig to wet glue, as it  will not stick well.
Hard bond adhesives (I.e.: Endurabond, Dermabond and Base bond) do NOT require any drying time, since they dry immediately after being applied.
b)- When your liquid adhesive (glue) is ready for application, you must position the full lace wig on your head.
To make sure it is aligned properly, you must first bond the wig at the center of your front hairline.  Then going from one side to the other, press the edge of your full lace wig down into the adhesive using a fine tooth comb, to comb the hair and the baby hair back.
(TIP): Should an error occur, while bonding the lace of your full lace wig to the adhesive, use a Q-Tip dabbed in some alcohol 99%,between the lace and your skin to release the lace from its bond then re-adjust the lace the right way.

Double check  all around your hairline for some part not well bonded and touch-up any areas where your full lace  wig is not securely applied. Should you need to remove any excess of liquid adhesive( glue) use a Q-Tip dabbed in some alcohol 99% as solvent.

c)- When you have completed the application process, tie down your hairline with a silk or satin scarf. This will allow the glue to set and dry properly.

(TIP): You may also use a hair dryer for 5-10 minutes, set on cool, to aide in the drying process.

NOTE: Should you  use a tape and liquid adhesive (glue) combination, the liquid adhesive (glue) should go on your skin and the tape should go on the lace. This will actually protect the lace from the wear and tear of the liquid adhesives.

Application using Bonding Tape

a)- Make sure your skin, your hair and your Full lace wig are clean and dry. Follow the above steps “Preparing Wig and Skin for Application” instructions.

b)- Cut the DOUBLE SIDED  special tape for full lace wigs, into  the desired length, and apply to the contour of your hairline. Press firmly.

c)- Then, peel the paper from up side of the double-sided tape and apply the bonding side of tape around the perimeter of the lace wig. Press firmly into place.

(TIP): You should always leave small spaces between the tape strips, to allow  water and/or sweat to escape, if you decide to wear your full lace wig, for extended periods of time.

d)- Position your full lace wig on your head, and starting with the center, go from side to the other, pressing firmly the lace down one (1) section at the time using a fine tooth comb.

e)- When you have completed the application process, tie down your hairline with a silk or satin scarf. This will allow the glue to set and dry properly. You may also sit under a dryer during this step to aide in the drying process.

Removal of Your Lace Wig:

a)-  Spread and saturate your adhesive remover on top of the glue and lace of your full lace wig.

b)-  Wait for the unit to easily release itself from your skin. You may want to use a Q-Tip to apply the adhesive remover/solvent between the lace and your skin.

(TIP): It is very important to allow the adhesive remover to completely saturate and the lace to release prior to trying to remove the unit. This will preserve the lace on your unit and your hairline. PLEASE take your time while doing this.

(TIP): You want the glue to remain on your skin, not on the lace of your full lace wig.

c)- Use the adhesive remover/solvent to clean the adhesive from your skin.

d)- Wash lace wig to clean and remove any glue residue that might be on the lace and in the hair of the wig.
